Mammoth tusks have massive reserves but are scarce due to the limited availability of ice-quality. They are excavated from beneath the ice as a result of global warming. That’s why ice-quality mammoth tusks are known as “white gold”.

 

The difference between mammoth tusks and modern-day elephant teeth lies not only in their cross-section but also in the fact that the outer layer of mammoth tusks has oxidized, resulting in different colors. This also means that each mammoth tusk possesses unique characteristics.

 

Polished in both teeth side and woolly skin. They are clearly the ice-quality.
